I am the Fearless Enigma!

As I have shared on here already, my last grandparent passed away last week. This grandparent who passed is my Dad's Mom.

About everyone came....and my Grandma has 8 children..about 22 grandchildren and a whole bunch of great grandchildren. To be honest, not all of the great grandchildren were present (many are little). We had a funeral and a graveside service. Then most of us gathered at my uncle's house for lunch/dinner and all day grazing  Wink. ALOT of visiting and catching up happened. At different times we had to even introduce ourselves to new faces. I gathered some new facebook "friends" that are family.

At the funeral my grandfather's oldest sister ("Aunt Jo")who recently turned 100 was there. She can't see..and wanted to "see" my Dad..who also has a severe vision loss.  So I carefull escorted her over to where my Dad was standing..she then wanted to sign the guest book and Dad and I brought her over. Dad then made the appropriate comment about "the blind leading the blind".  Grin

It has been a really blessed time of connecting with family. Good visiting..good healing..alot of laughing..some crying, very little drama..

I leave here Sunday...and I really do feel renewed.

Sounds good Patti. When families get large and scattered, it sometimes seems that funerals are the only thing that brings large numbers of them back together.
