The first of the year (2010)  came and went and I didn't make any new years resolutions!  Hey you can't break what you don't make, right?!

I knew that something was missing and that God was nudging me to take advantage of a class on "Personal Evalution for a Servant of God."  I thought about skipping.  Can you believe I actually thought, I needed to clean house instead of go? Anyway, I went and with a bad case of attitude thinking to myself,  well it can't hurt me.

As Zig Ziglar would say, I have had some "stinking thinkin" going on and need a "checkup from the neck up."

Anytime, you actually  check in with God, I have discovered that  God always has some abundance to bestow.

As it turns out one of the principals listed in the evaluation form is that "God has specified certain goals for those who serve."  There you have it. God knew I hadn't set any goals for the New Year and here in this class that God can't tell me anything I don't know, is t hat "God has specificed certain goals for those who serve. "

Here's what I learned today:

To serve Christ is pleasing to God.  (Romans 14:18)

To use whatever gift one has received to serve others.  (I Peter 4:10-11)

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.  (Colossians 3:24)

To  prepare God's people for works of service that the body of Christ may be built up. ( Ephesians 4:12)

To supply the needs of God's people.  (2 Corinthians 9:12)

My goal would be to learn to follow the two greatest commands with all my heart someday, to Love God and to love my neighbor.
