Dearest friends who are visiting us and my brothers and sisters in Christ,

My testimony is that even when you think God has maybe forgotten who you are, He has not, so never, EVER give up on His love.

God sent the Jeff and I the most marvelous blessing today. I was beginning to wonder if God remembers that I need Him - I tell him that in my morning and "night-night" prayers.

What I did NOT realize is that I needed solid, physical, human proof that He does, but HE KNEW, and he gave it to me and the Jeff today. I am so very grateful to our beloved Lord for taking such good care of us.

Let me tell you what happened.

I was working here at my computer, answering an e-mail from Joanne, when Jeff, who was doing his evening exercises yelled, "Who just pulled into our driveway?"

"Did someone pull in" I asked.

"Yes, and I don't know who it is," Jeff answered.

Unfortunately, I jumped up from my computer to see who was coming, which was really kind of silly of me because first, I lost the e-mail I was writing to Joanne, and second, I really couldn't see who it was because I didn't have in my contacts and I wasn't wearing my glasses.

All the same, I went to the door and watched two gentlemen walk up our front sidewalk to the door. I promptly unlocked it, with Jeff standing right beside me. I had to stare for a moment while I got my eyes to settle down (I have nystagmus), before recognition dawned.

When it did, I opened the front glass door and said, "David is that you?" He quickly told me it was. He'd brought Brother Ron with him.

Now, these gentlemen are from central Oklahoma, and we're way down here in southeastern Oklahome, smack dab between the Arkansas and Oklahoma Mission Centers - so I'm very lucky if I get to see even one priesthood member - let alone two!

My heart flew straight to heaven with joy! I know both of them to be Christ's beloved servants.

We, of course, invited them in, and we all went to the living room, where we visited for a while.

And then came the real joy! Brother David asked me if I would like to have Communion! I was thrilled to death. But my husband, Jeff, seemed a bit reluctant to join us, saying, "I only accept communion from Baby Lisa."

I sent up a heartfelt prayer to God to guide my tongue, and then I said, "Now, Jeff, you know we have open Communion, and you are most welcome to join us. God wants you to, and I WANT YOU TO."

So we moved to the dining room, and Bros. David and Ron served us Communion. The Communion prayers for the bread and the wine have never sounded so beautiful, since Baby Lisa offered them a couple of years ago - my first Communion in 30 years when Baby Lisa offered it.

After we had Communion, I couldn't keep from piping up to ask if we could pray, and Brothers David and Ron said I could. I told them I just felt the need to pray.

So we all joined hands, and, I'm still amazed at what came out of my mouth!

I said my usual night-time prayer - which is awfully lengthy, so I won't repeat it here. I had NO IDEA I was going to say my "night-night" prayer, but that's what I did.

It was the most humbling of experiences. I'm still amazed that I did that, but I KNOW God was leading me.

Brother David prayed for Jeff and for me, and I felt God's blessings - again - washing over me. Bro. Ron complimented me on my prayer. I felt as if I were the queen of the world!

David took some time to help me with this computer, we spent some time talking about his family, and then they had to leave. I really wish the Jeff and I hadn't planned sandwiches for dinner. I wish I could have cooked them a big meal. But they had to leave.

I'm still floating in God's arms. He DOES love us. He cared enough to send two of His best servants to see us.

My heart is so warmed and comforted. More warmed and comforted than you would ever believe. So when I say my bedtime prayer tonight, it will be praise and gratitude to God.

Thank you for reading me.

All my best love in Christ,

Dear Tisha,
I am so glad that God continues to hold you and "the Jeffy" in his hands. Our God is good even sending people when we don't expect them.

You have made my day sister.

Oh, MY!

Stacie, you knew? Then I also owe you my heartfelt gratitude for not ruining God's delightful surprise. Bless you and thank you!

And Bud? The Jeffy and I aren't awesome. We're just two people trying to do our best - but I'm convinced, because of the blessing of the visit yesterday - that God knows we're trying, and He loves us. But we're not awesome! You should just see some of the struggles that get thrown in front of us. We just join hands and walk through them together, and we don't always do everything right.

All my best love in Christ to you both, and my heartfelt thank-you for caring,

Dearest Sisters in Christ, Patti and Mel,

Patti, I just am incapable of thinking of ANY visit by ANY of our priesthood members that would do anything except send my heart soaring to heaven! I don't think God allows unpleasant visits from His beloved servants. Each visit we've had has been a HUGE blessing from God.

Now, Melissa, I'll you as soon as I can get this darned freight train slowed down! I haven't forgotten you! I haven't stopped praying for you.

Now, while this is an answer both to Patti and Melissa, I want to direct the rest of this message to ALL of my Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

I promise all of you, and I promise God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit to stop whining about feeling so alone. I'm NOT alone. The Holy Trinity is with me all the time, and if I get to missing my brothers and sisters in Christ, there ARE people I can call who will counsel and pray with me. I just whine because we're so far from any close congregation. I can't drag the Jeffy on long road trips. But I won't whine anymore! I promise.

Because I KNOW God loves me. I know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit bless us daily, and whining is such a HUGE waste of energy.

So, thank you ALL so much for caring about us and showing God's love to us. It is a HUGE blessing.

All my best love in Christ,

Still more joy!

I'm here to testify that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit really DO love Jeff and me!

THEY love us so much that THEY sent us an early Christmas present!
Another unexpected visit, but this time from the Gates family.

My best and most beloved little baby sister in Christ Lisa; her husband David and their son Brandon, whom we also love so dearly, came to visit us today! My heart is still soaring to heaven with gratitude!

Now, the reason they were here is sad. Baby Lisa's uncle is ill, and they were checking on him - so quick, please, everyone, please pray for Baby Lisa's uncle! Please, hard as you can. Also please pray for Brandon who doesn't feel well and, oh, please, pray for them to have a safe trip home! I sure am.

But the joy of Christmas came early to me with their visit. Baby Lisa served us Communion, and I promise you, my heart shot straight to heaven. Then we all prayed together again, and my heart went straight to heaven again.

In fact, I think it's still there.

Such an unexpected visit, but such a HUGE blessing from God, or so it feels to me. I'm so grateful to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for sending them to me.

The Holy Trinity loves me and the Jeffy - as human and therefore imperfect as we we are! We are loved, and God sends us those who love us, and it just doesn't get any better than this!

All my best love in Christ to you all,
tisha
